Heys welcome Holker Old Boys to Adie Moran Park on Saturday for a League Division One North fixture (3pm)
The Cumbrian visitors have made their best start to a season for a number of years and arrive in 5th place in the table with 18 points from their ten games.
They have suffered just two defeats thus far, one of which came on the opening day of the season at AFC Darwen when they were beaten 6-1.
However, since then they have been impressive. They have recorded wins over fellow early pacesetters Golcar (2-1) and Shelley (4-1) and held Ashton Town to a 3-3 draw.
Add in the fact that four of their ten fixtures have been midweek away fixtures and it adds up to a pleasing start for the Rakesmoor Lane side.
Heys come into game buoyed by their 4-0 win over Pilkington on Tuesday night.
After a difficult period of some indifferent results, Heys looked much more like their old selves, particularly in the last quarter of the game, when they rifled in three quickfire goals.
The win moved Heys upto ninth and they sit just two points off the top four. Indeed, in a tight division only three points separate third from eleventh.
Jon Lyons will be looking for his side to build on Tuesday night’s performance and push themselves firmly back in amongst the promotion chasing pack.
