Heys travel to Pilkington in the NW Counties Premier Division (3pm) on Saturday in a huge game at the bottom of the table.
Heys sit second bottom, in the relegation zone, with nine points from twenty two games, without a win in fourteen matches.
Pilkington are two places higher, with fourteen points from twenty games. There is much at stake for both sides. Nothing will prove decisive tomorrow but a win for either side would brighten the outlook a little, although from a Heys perspective a defeat would leave them staring up at an eight point gap.
This match is a re-arranged game after the original fixture three weeks ago was abandoned due to Dylan Fitzgerald’s injury. That game had proved a tight affair and tomorrow and stood goalless and it seems likely to prove similarly tight tomorrow.
Since then Heys have picked up one point from three games, a home draw with West Didsbury sandwiched between defeats to Padiham & Barnoldswick. Pilkington have suffered back to back defeats at home to AFC Liverpool and away at Bury.
Both clubs will be seeking three huge points tomorrow.
