It’s a quick turnaround for Heys as they welcome West Didsbury & Chorlton to Adie Moran Park In the NW Counties Premier Division on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
Saturday’s home loss to Padiham thankfully did not see any deterioration in Heys position in the League table and they remain second bottom, six points adrift of the third bottom Pilkington. However, the loss gave valuable insight for new Manager Ryan Hutchinson and his team as to the work that needs to be done to turn things around and fans can expect to see changes in the starting line up tomorrow night.
Heys face a West Didsbury side in fine form having won six of their last seven League matches and they arrive in sixth place in the table with 34 points from 17 games. With between five and six games in games in hand on the sides above, except for unbeaten Bury, Wests look like mounting a strong challenge for promotion this season. They are likely to be without their top scorer Victor Abadaki through suspension, but their goal threat will remain with twelve goal Jordan Lazenbury.
It’s another tough assignment for Heys as they look to start picking up points and they will hope the injection of fresh faces will give them the impetus to kick start their season.
