Heys return to action on Saturday when they welcome Padiham to Adie Moran Park in the NW Counties Premier Division (3pm).
This will be the first game under the leadership of new Manager Ryan Hutchinson, who although appointed last Friday, took a backseat for last week’s abandoned game at Pilkington.
It has given the new Manager the chance to see the team in match action, and there have also been two intense training sessions this week to for him to assess his charges. He and his backroom team have been very busy and it is possible there may be sone new faces in the squad tomorrow.
Heys go into the game sitting second bottom with eight points from 19 games and six points adrift of Pilkington, one place above and who have played a game less. Although there is just over half the season left Heys need to start getting points on the board and will be looking to arrest a run without a win, that presently stands at eleven matches.
They come up against a Padiham side who are one of the form teams of the competition and after a slow start to the season they have pushed rapidly up the table to tenth position with 26 points from 18 matches. There will be a couple of familiar faces in the visitors line up in Kieron Molly and Tyler James, the latter being joint top scorer with Jakob Hebda on eleven goals.
