They will approach the game in good spirits following Tuesday night’s Macron Cup success over Irlam. After losing their previous eight matches, they will hope the win can prove a turning point for them. They overcame a difficult opening twenty minutes to emerge victorious with a display brimming with positives, not least the performances of the new lads in the squad.

Heys will start the day in the relegation zone, second from bottom, with just seven points from their opening sixteen games. This month looks to be a crucial one. By the end of it they will be more or less halfway through their season, so they will need to start picking up points in order to keep their heads above the relegation trap door.

The visitors will prove a tough test. They come into the game in third place with twenty nine points from fourteen matches, having suffered only defeat thus far. They have proved strong at both ends of the pitch with 34 goals scored and only 15 conceded and Heys will have to be mindful of the goal threat of Jesse Dowling who has none to his credit so far.

The Merseysiders rallied late to win 2-1 at Pilkington in the Macron Cup in midweek but five of their League victories have been by five of their eight League win have been by three goals or more.

With points much needed, if for different reasons and at opposite ends of the table, it should be quite a contest.

We have a covered standing area for approx 150 people and covered seating for 100.

There's free on-site parking for around 150 cars on the front and down the length of the motorway side of the ground. Please do not park on Sandgate Road or surrounding streets.

Pyrotechnics are banned. This includes Flares, Fireworks and Smoke Bombs. Anyone carrying pyrotechnics will be subject to a Football Banning order.

Supporters are also reminded that is an offence to enter the Playing Area and doing so can result in a Banning order.

The Club does not allow Dogs into the ground. The only exception to this rule is for Disability Support Dogs.

Please note out of consideration to our neighbours Drums and other Musical Instruments are banned from the ground. Visiting supporters are asked to also refrain from placing flags on the Clubhouse / Seated stand side of the ground.
