Heys travel to Burscough on Tuesday night in the NW Counties Premier Division (7.45pm).
They will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after back-to-back defeats against FC Isle of Man (1-3) last Tuesday and at Padiham on Saturday (1-4).
The losses have seen Heys drop to fifth from bottom of the table, a point above the relegation zone and although it’s still early days in the season they will be looking to pick up points to avoid being dragged into the bottom two.
Burscough, by contrast have won their last two games winning 2-0 at Stockport Town on Saturday on the back of a 3-1 win at Litherland Remyca. The victories have lifted the Linnets up to 13th in the table with thirteen points from ten games, building on their strong finish to last season when they finished fifth from bottom after looking like relegation certainties for much of the campaign.
