Heys welcome Cheadle Town to Adie Moran Park on Tuesday night in the NW Counties Premier Division in a game that pits two of the form teams of the division against each other.
The visitors come into the game having won eight of their last nine games across all competitions. Their most recent success came away at FC Isle of Man on Saturday when an injury time goal by Lee Knight, who briefly figured for Heys a couple of seasons ago, secured a 1-0 win. League wise Cheadle have also completed a double over West Didsbury & Chorlton in their impressive run winning 3-0 away and 1-0 at home.
Whilst six of their wins have come in Cup competition there is no doubting, they are a side in fine form and they will arrive brimming with confidence. They are presently 20th in the table with 22 points from 21 games, their cause having not been helped by a three-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player. They will be looking to maintain their run tomorrow tonight as they look to climb the table.
Heys will kick off in buoyant mood after their 5-2 win over Litherland Remyca at the weekend. The victory moved Heys up to fourth in the table where they have 41 points from 22 games. Having taken 33 points from their last fifteen matches, they are well placed in the promotion stakes but only too aware that there can be no let up. With six of their next eight League games at home the coming month could be key to sustaining that challenge going into the New Year.
The game will see Heys reach the halfway point in their League programme and they will be looking for a win to take them into the second half of the campaign in a strong position
