Heys welcome Wythenshawe Town to Adie Moran Park on Saturday in what is huge game at the top of the NW Counties Premier Division (3pm).
Both sides are in the thick of the race to gain promotion at the end of the season. The visitors are second in the table, on goal difference only, to leaders Bury. With eighty points from forty games Town have been solid all season. However, they have had a particularly fine run of form since just before Christmas which has seen them collect thirty-nine points from their last seventeen games.
Their most recent form shows four wins from their last six and as we enter the last weeks of the season, with further games after today against other challengers Wythenshawe and Chadderton, they will be looking to try and seal that automatic top placed promotion spot.
Town have also managed to beat the weather and with this game have only six remaining. That could prove key in a busy run.
Heys are entering their last ten games and although they sit just outside the top five, by a point, they are still very much in the hunt for a playoff spot. After a tricky spell that saw only two points collected from five games, successive wins at Glossop and Ramsbottom have lifted spirits and they will be looking to push on again at the start of a busy week, with this game the first of three at home in six days.
