Heys run of away fixtures continues on Saturday when they travel to Glossop North End in the NW Counties Premier Division (3pm).
Heys have had a tough time of late with injuries taking their toll, coinciding with their worst run of form of the season. They have collected only two points from their last five League games and have dropped out of the top five for the first time since early Autumn. Their last victory was in fact over Glossop at the end of January when they won 3-2 at Adie Moran Park. They will be hoping for a repeat as they look to get their promotion bid back on track. With games in hand on the sides above them Heys fate lies in their own hands still, but they will be conscious of the need for a return to form.
Glossop have had an up and down season. After dropping down from the Northern Premier League, they struggled to adapt in the early part of the season which brought about a change in Management with Richard Brodie taking charge. Good form through November into the New Year banished any worries of a relegation battle but since their loss at Heys they too have struggled for form. A 4-3 win at Padiham has been the only bright spot in a run of five defeats in the last six games.
Three of those defeats have come against play off chasing teams in Bury, Kendal and Chadderton. The aim for Heys will be to join those clubs in getting back to winning ways.
