Heys travel across the Pennines on Sunday to face Worsbrough Bridge Athletic in the FA Vase 1st Qualifying Round (3pm)

The Barnsley based side compete in the Northern Counties East First Division. They presently prop up the table with two points from their opening five matches. They come into the game on the back of a midweek 1-1 home draw with Glasshoughton Welfare.

Although without a League win, they have tasted success in the League Cup with a penalty shoot out success at Appleby Frodingham following a 1-1 draw.

Heys come into the game on the back of Tuesday’s 1-0 home loss to Abbey Hey where missed chances cost them dearly. With four points from their first six games, Heys new look side is starting to gel, and they will be looking to soon add goals to the resolute defensive play they have shown thus far.

The match will be decided on the day, with the game going straight to penalties if the scores are level at 90 minutes.

The winners receive £550, the losing side gets £160.

The winning side will be at home to either Runcorn Town or Handsworth in the 2nd Qualifying Round on 21st September.
