Heys turn to their attention to the Macron Cup tomorrow as they travel to Alsager Town for a Quarter Final tie.
After back-to-back League defeats and the frustration of the midweek postponement Heys will be looking to bounce back to winning ways. They have shown good form in the Cup so far. After a bye in the First Round, they progressed in the Second round with a penalty shoot-out win over Wythenshawe following a 2-2 home draw. They then recorded a comfortable 3-1 away win at Irlam in the last round to book their place in the last eight.
Alsager play in Division One South and are presently ninth in the table with 35 points from 27 games. After an indifferent start to the season that brought a change in Management they have made steady progress under Dean Jones and Dom Johnson and since the turn of the year have shown impressive form with just one defeat in five that has led to them claiming the Macron Club of the Month Award for January.
To reach this stage Alsager won 4-3 at home to Eccleshall in the First Round before defeating Division One South League Leaders Brocton 3-2 at the second stage. A 2-0 home win over Premier Division Cheadle Town followed and they will be looking to add another Premier Division scalp tomorrow.
The match will be decided on the day with the game going straight to penalties if the scores are level after ninety minutes.
