We are pleased to announce the launch of "The 1938 Club" a new club membership scheme that will provide the opportunity to win weekly prizes and monthly and quarterly cash draws, whilst providing valuable support to the Club.

The 9th of February will mark the 86th Anniversary of the Clubs formation and the launch this month of “The 1938 Club” seems a fitting way to mark our rich history and help ensure the clubs ongoing development.

The concept is straight forward. You can become a member for £10 a month and in return be entered into the weekly, monthly and quarterly draws to win prizes and cash.

As the “The 1938 Club” develops, we hope to open it up, in conjunction with sponsors and local businesses, to provide offers and networking opportunities.

All surplus monies raised after prize distribution will be invested back into the Club and used in a manner as determined by the Chair.

How to get involved

Membership is now open, and the first draws will take place in March. Payment is in advance so, for example as we launch tonight, you can join throughout February then the first draws would happen in March. March payments would then be taken into the April draws etc.

There will be four weekly draws a month. The weekly prizes will vary from bottles of spirits, bottles of wine/champagne, mixed bottles of beer, golf days, meal vouchers, etc.

The monthly draw will be 20% of the income derived in the month, so for example, 50 members would make for a £100 prize fund.

On the launch there will be a one-off “Super Draw” prize guaranteed at £300 but to be in this draw you must pay March, April and May payments in February to be included.

Members can have as many entries a month as they want, to increase the fund and the chance of winning. Each additional entry is also £10.

We will then send back your membership number and the bank details and reference to make payment too.

Payment can also be by cash. To do this there will be envelopes in the club house marked “The 1938’ Club” and you can put your money in and print your name, email and phone number on the envelope.
