Dear Supporter
As a close follower of the clubs fortunes you will have been delighted to hear the recent news that Bury Council have granted Planning permission for a new 100-seater stand at Adie Moran Park.
The existing stand will be demolished and the new one will be placed in the same location, closer to the pitch providing improved views of the on field action.
The stand is being constructed by Stadium Solutions, who built the stands at Salford City’s Moor Lane ground and will comprise 98 seats and two disability seating areas. The new stand will ensure that the club meets the requirements of the Football Association’s National Ground Grading Document enabling Heys to continue to compete in the North West Counties League Premier Division.
Funding for 75% of the costs of construction will be provided by the Football Foundation. However, the club must provide the remaining 25%.
Over the course of the planning process, in common with many things, costs of steel have increased significantly. This has meant that there is a shortfall of £9,000 between the costs originally budgeted for and that what is now payable.
The club is therefore now inviting supporters to invest in the building of the new stand. The scheme will invite supporters to invest whatever amount they choose for a two year period. At the end of the two year period your original investment will be returned with 10% interest added on.
The scheme provides the opportunity to invest in this new structure which we see as the starting point for future improvements in our facilities in the coming years.
