Peter Gilmour has accepted the position of Honorary Club Patron.
The club felt it was time to formally recognise the legendary player and Manager's contribution to the club.
Peter played over 500 games and then managed the team throughout those heady days of the late 60's when Heys blazed a trail of glory, both locally and nationally in the FA Amateur Cup.
Peter has maintained his links to the club and was present at our Old Boys Day back in April where the Clubs 80th Anniversary was celebrated.
Accepting the award Peter said "I am pleased to accept this position because Prestwich Heys has meant so much to me. I also appreciated the Old Boys’Day. It is obvious that your players are proud and happy to be involved in the Club, as are your Lady Helpers!"
"The Club gave off a tremendous feeling of warmth and love and both my wife and I felt that".
"I have, without reservation accepted the Honorary Patron invitation to Prestwich Heys and I do hope that I will in the future see many games to come."
"I will be watching (on the side lines) none the less."
