Heys duo Rob Sadler and Dalton McLaughlin have left the club.
The pair were both members of Heys treble winning side last season.
Sadler, has been Heys 1st choice goalkeeper for the past three seasons, making 72 appearances.
Rob who, has transferred to Atherton LR, was in fine form last season, in a side that set a new club record of seven consecutive clean sheets in the last seven games of the season as it closed in on the treble. Individually, his outstanding performance in the penalty shoot out in the Gilgryst Cup Semi-Final with Stockport Georgians was pivotal in Heys success.
McLaughlin, was the Players Player of the Year and Manchester League Premier Division Player of the Year last season delivering some magical performances scoring seven goals in 39 appearnaces. Few will forget his stunning individual goal in the 6-3 win against Hindsford back in February. Dalton has returned to AFC Monton for whom he made a goalscoring return yesterday.
We wish both well for the future.
Arriving at this club this week was goalkeeper Daniel Taberner who joins from Atherton Collieries.
Danny became Rochdale’s youngest ever goalkeeper when, on 11th November 2009, he made his debut in a 2-0 home defeat in the FA Cup at home to Luton Town.
Following a spell at Stockport Sports, he moved to Salford City before then joining Colls where he went on to claim the NWCFL Goalkeeper of the Season award in 2014-15.
He made his Heys debut in yesterday's win at Sandbach.
